Thanks to all who participated in the August 6, 2014 Summer Seminar in Health Literacy with Helen Osborne and Dr. Barry Weiss and several local experts active in health literacy with elders,  immigrants and refugees, people who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Check out this article about health literacy and the event by following this link: http://greenandgold.uaa.alaska.edu/blog/26326/translating-hieroglyphics-health-care/?utm_source=seawolfweekly&utm_medium=email&utm_content=SW_20140806&utm_campaign=Green+and+Gold+News

There will be a follow-up call to the seminar on September 16, 2014, 12:15-1:15, to discuss what people have done since the conference, and problem solve as a group any issues participants are facing. Helen Osborne will participate in the call. If you would like to participate, please contact Rain Van Den Berg at rain@alaskachd.org for the call in information.
