ALP is pround to announce that we have been awarded a National Book Fund grant from ProLiteracy to support our adult literacy and basic education program. $2,000 in textbooks were received from New Readers Press, primarily for our lowest level learners at ALP. Thank you to ProLiteracy and all the work you do in providing programs with the resources and materials we need to help adults learn to read, write and do basic math.

The Anchorage Health Literacy Collaborative, together with Providence Health & Services Alaska, UAA Center for Human Development and Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center present Alaska Health Literacy Summit: Working Together to Improve Health on November 5, 2016 from 8 am - 4:30 pm at Providence Alaska Medical Center (3200 Providence Dr., Anchorage, AK) in West Auditorium. This summit is for health care professionals and community members. Learn evidence-based communication tools that improve health outcomes and quality of care.

$60 Registration Fee (non-student / non-senior)

$30 Student and/or Senior (age 55+) Fee

$15 Continuing Education Fee (if needed)

 

Refreshments and a $5 lunch card are included in the cost of registration (all categories).
