You can still sign up for English classes.

Come to ALP on Wednesdays between 9:30 to 11:30 am to register.

Everybody must pay $20 toward tuition on registration day.

New students coming for the first time must also pay a $10 intake fee.

Registration is first-come, first-serve.

Fall classes started on August 19th and end on December 19th.

In partnership with the Alaska Literacy Program, join Social Work Students from University of Alaska Anchorage as we host a discussion and Public Forum on ways in which we can improve student success for English as a Second Language Students in our community!

This event is open to Alaska Literacy Program Students, Staff, Volunteers, Instructors, Community members and partners!

Light Refreshments will be provided as we discuss the ways in which we can support the success of our community members!

ALP is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to the Board of Directors: Jim Anderson, DeeAnn Apgar, and Emily Creely. The Board provides leadership for carrying out ALP's mission of changing lives through literacy. 

ALP also welcomes Rosario Ramirez, who has accepted the position of Family Literacy Educator. ALP's IMPACT Family Literacy program works with preschool children and their caregivers to implement best practices in early childhood education and multigenerational support.
